Title: Swing keel clunk
Post by: chris_the_wrench on Sep 24, 2024, 12:04 AM
We obtained an older potter 15 last summer and have gradually been refurbishing it as we sail it more and find the next needed repair.

Question: we experience some severe side to side clunking when we encounter a swell or wake at any point beyond nearly straight aft or fore. I assume the swing keel slams into the centerboard trunk with every side swell.

Anyone have a solution?

Thanks

Glue some thin neoprene to the inside of the trunk where the swing keel is making contact.
