Title: P165 jibsheeting upgrade
Post by: Straander on Apr 15, 2023, 03:18 PM
Just wanted to share an upgrade I tested out on my sail trip yesterday that may be of interest to some other P165 owners.

Previously the jibsheets just used regular cam cleats to lock off. I just replaced them with Ronstan swivel cam cleats so that they can now be easily operated from the windward rail. This will greatly improve ease of use when single-handing. Or when taking along crewmen who have no experience or inclination to help sail the boat.

Used those for years on my last 2 boats. Wouldn't be without them on a boat that doesn't need winches.
