Title: I need a source for a small bimini top: 30"h x 48"L x 62"W
Post by: Trailz on Dec 28, 2024, 03:55 PM
I've been searching for hours (online) and can't find one the size I need for my small sailboat.
The closest I've found is this:
https://www.boatcoversdirect.com/products/bimini_tops/by_dimensions/length/60/height/30/widths/61-66/23/no-category/S3063UB/104/

I'm hoping I don't have to spend that much on a top that still needs mods made by me.
Does anyone know another source?

Thanks

I just read the Sailing Texas long review of this boat and it sounds like a decent boat. In the photo I can see where that Bimini would be a problem.

I think there has been several people here who have "created" a Bimini, or custom cockpit shade, that fit their boat. So. be patient and some ideas may show up.

Despite living in New Orleans, I have never had a boat with a Bimini. Maybe that's why I have spent those savings X 10 with my Dermatologist.

You might be able to make your own custom fit Bimini as you can buy parts and tubing, as well as marine fabric. Sailrite has several videos on how to make them. You might also want to do a search under DIY boat Bimini if you go this route. I made a boat tent for my Scamp, and I think a simple sunshade could be made by using oar locks and backpacking tent poles. Simply by making two arches like the one below on my Scamp.
