Title: The Fish Thief Documentary
Post by: rfrance0718 on May 14, 2025, 01:44 PM
I happened upon this on Netflix. It's particularly of interest for those of us who sail the Great Lakes. It's about the infestation of the Lampre Eel, but has a lot of great info about Great Lakes History.

We've also watched it . The Asian Carp invasion is even more worrying . They are dangerously close to Lake Michigan .
It's hard for this not to get political . I believe we should make protecting our Great Lakes a much higher priority .

In southern waters it is the Lionfish invasion.  The good news is that they are choice edible and a healthy food source, so if more effective catch methods can be developed, they can be a very good sustainable source of food.
