Title: Yay! Somewhat cooler and cloudy
Post by: Riley Smith on Aug 11, 2025, 02:33 PM
I would have made a run if I hadn't already promised to cut my daughter's yard as a birthday present for her hubby. He's on 7-day a week and I know how that crap is, so I gifted him a little time....one of the most valuable things you can get when that happens. Well, woulda made a run but I'm glad I didn't. The ##&((&#) tow vehicle is in the shop again after a errand this morning. Grrrr!

And another blob is heading our way too. Y'all might remember that OTHER blob that came through a while back, reversing the west-to-east normal weather pattern, to a east-to-west anomaly. All this out on the Gulf and surrounding waters. Some of you might not understand the term "surrounding waters" that refers to numerous marshs, rivers, bayous, and lakes everywhere you look. Not to mention a Sound or two and several bays to boot.  The humidity went up and the barometer went down and it's heavy tonight outside, although the moon is shining bright at the moment. We had a squall line right at dusk that evaporated for the most part between us and Mobile Bay. But it ain't over. Oh well, maybe a good time to be down for maint. And it is STILL pretty hot (but bearable now I think). That first hint of the time to come was sort of like a drink of water in the desert.
