Title: My West Wight Potter 19
Post by: Wila on Aug 17, 2025, 03:36 PM
Hi, I'm in east central SK, just purchased a potter 19.  I'm no sailor, my only previous experience was building a 12' dinghy from plans out of a wooden boat magazine over 40 yrs ago so have a Lot to learn.
Just going through it, have decided to just completely go through it to both bring it, "up to snuff", plus when I'm done will know the boat intimately.  Will be sailing her in the lakes of the Qu'appelle river drainage, most are about a mile wide and 5-7 mi long.

I took a vid today, and will post more.  The second will show the cabin and some repairs that need to be done.  Will describe my plan and would Greatly appreciate thoughts if good idea or not.  Thanks,
Bruce

Really foggy this morning and too wet to work on removing pinstriping, so did the cabin vid, show repairs needed:
