Title: What Would You Do If?
Post by: FortyFour on May 02, 2023, 07:57 PM
Since there was lively interest in the thread from the other day about the Precision that sunk, it brought to mind this item from a sailing primer I've enjoyed. The book is called 'Sailing For Everyone', by Simon Watts. His questions are thought-provoking and I hope you'll enjoy geeking out over possible solutions to these problems, as much as I did. No pressure to publicly reply here. Ponder answers, and I'll post the author's responses in a day or so.

Without further ado, here are the author's solutions. I find myself doing "What if..." fairly often anyway, so this item appealed to me, and I find his 'old salt' sensibility endearing.

A great treatise on basic seamanship. Love it!
