Awoke this morning to the Lord's beauty. The incredibly bright full moon hadn't set yet, but the cypress, gumball, and pine trees were casting long shadows across the land and the edge of the creek, leaving the creek still brightly lit in comparison as I looked east. The morning dusk was just starting in the east, providing an incredible backlight to the moonlight. Never seemed so beautiful.
Gave thanks.
In a few minutes, the moon set, and the dusk backlight was insufficient to see anything.

It was very bright here too. Clear and chilly with that awesome moon. There are still fireworks and celebrations going on. Yes, very beautiful.
The moon was an apricot color just above the horizon at dawn as I drove west before daylight to fish for mountain trout.
I'm always glad to catch the "magic hour" the photographers call it. The light changes minute by minute and highlights and brings to the forefront things you would normally look right past. There is a field nearby and it almost always has a ground fog on the cool mornings. It makes the light that much more beautiful. In a very short time it disappears and changes the whole scene.
I do enjoy sunset, twilight, and sunrise. The world changes with the light.
I miss the sunrises and sunsets on the water. While I do appreciate the mountain views and sunsets in Arizona, I really enjoyed getting out on the boat before sunrise and watching the world light up when we were on the Gulf Coast.
Here's a look at sunset yesterday, with the descending foothills of South Mountain in the foreground and the Estrella Mountains in the distance...
