Bagatelle's Forestay has a kink in it. Probably from driving down the road with the drum unsupported. One day I went out sailing and the Jib had a tear in it so I decided to take the sail off. I couldn't pull the sail off the foil with the mast up, because the roller swivel would not go below the kink. I had to climb a ladder to release the sail.
I put the shackles in my pocket, I dropped pieces and didn't find them. So I had to buy new ones,
I drove to Kemah, Texas, to find a west marine with a sufficiently large stock to have the shackles. I had to try every shackle brand they have before I found the ones that fit the swivel. The cost was around $100.
