Title: A modest beginning
Post by: tjspiel on Mar 27, 2023, 08:40 PM
The first of four cockpit cushions. I decided to put two on each side so I could access the lazarettes easier.

I was going to do both port side cushions then wait until I picked up the boat to make sure they fit before doing the starboard side. But since I'm getting it next week I might not even do that and see how this one fits first.

I sure hope the next 3 go faster. :)

Thanks Frank, but I have a feeling a professional could have done it in about 30 minutes instead of 3 hours. :)

Tom, when I used to train people to build parachute gear, my advice was always work on technique first, and the speed will come as the technique improves. The ones who followed that advice had a lot less stuff land back in their laps for re-working after failing inspection. Of course, that scenario doesn't apply to your cushions, but you get the idea.
