Title: Sold the 1993 Dodge Diesel, too
Post by: NickScheuer on Oct 29, 2023, 06:25 AM
Nothing became her better than her last trip towing the DuNORD to N Carolina.  Of the three pickups I've owned for towing boats, the Dodge was the best by far.  The guy who bought her used to have one like it and wants to restore this one.  He won't have to do much more than body work.  at 256,000 miles the Cummins 5.9L 12 valve is just getting broken in, eh?

Agreed. Thay have taken over much of the marine world from GM and Cat, lighter, more compact and more affordable.

One of our engine guys chose the Cummins for his whole house generator and it was also highly rated by CR.

Had that truck 14 years and never had to put a new muffler ore exhaust pipe on it.  I did need to repair the exhaust pipe suspension a couple of times.
