Title: Tail light replacement.
Post by: noelH on Oct 31, 2023, 03:49 PM
Have a Pacific trailer built for the Sage 15.  The starboard side taillight needs replacement.  Sealed Vision LED unit that Pacific sells for ~$25 + ~$3 for the rubber grommet. Side lights located on the trailer frame and wire ground are good. Kind of figured the lamp was toast when I saw air bubbles coming out of the unit.  No longer sealed. It went from running dim when I trailered Vela to the Marina this Spring down to only one of 12 LEDs dimly lite.

Has anyone ever replaced one of these oval stop/tail/turn lights?  Unplug and tried to gently force the light out of the galvanized steel light bracket. No go. Next option is to remove the whole bracket and take a look to see if I missed some sort of hardware holding the light in place.

I don't remember there being anything but the rubber 'gasket' holding the light in place Noel. Talk with Pacific if you want to be sure.
