Title: Seaward Fox Engine Mount on Rudder
Post by: boats.babies on Nov 29, 2023, 05:10 PM
Interested in what anyone who has subject mount thinks of it.  Good?  Bad? Pluses?  Minuses?  Does it affect steering much?  How much weight is it good for?  Thanks in advance.

I have the same question. Does not seem to be a lot of chatter on the Seaward Forum. I can see some possible advantages i.e. weight distribution, maybe docking. I wonder about how it handles when undersail. Have you been able to find out anything since you posted or had a go with it?

I have the same question! I have a Fox and it came to me used with a transom motor mount, but I've learned they had a rudder/tiller motor mount when they were new.
