Title: A trip back...TSBB December 20, 2001. How to make Wassail
Post by: Norm L. on Dec 24, 2023, 02:41 PM
The long, beautiful recipe was by Captain Ed up on Long Island Sound. Along with the history of the beverage. There are three N/A recipes and one with rum and white wine and one with sherry and brandy.

Dougcan added some simpler versions:

Boil water. Add a package of spiced apple cider mix saving room for a shot or two of dark rum.

Brew a quart of spiced herbal tea, as in Celestial Seasonings Sugar Plum Spice, using 3-4 tea bags. Add 3-4 teaspoons sugar per cup and two shots dark rum per cup.

Last Christmas they were suitable. This Christmas, if it weren't raining for 48 hours, we could be cooking outside in shorts.

Everyone have a great family day or be out helping others.

I'll work on getting the entire page on line.
I have no idea how or where he is, just like many others over the 20+ years.

As the Little Prince said, there are matters of consequence, with which we still deal.
