Title: Do I have a Blue Water Layup?
Post by: tomjkjr on Jan 16, 2024, 08:04 PM
I don't know anything about sailboats and I'm refurbishing a 1995 Potter 19. I have a sailor friend who is helping me with the basics to make sure I make it shipshape. I plan to sell it. I've looked at some other people's ads for Potter 19's and some of them mention a "Blue Water Layup." How can I tell if I have a Blue Water Layup?

Better this question asked in the Potter subgroup -

That refers to heavier hull thickness as in for Blue Water use.
As Dave said someone with these boats may know if there was some clue or one might have to do some sort of non-destructive testing.
