Title: Mast partner
Post by: jefkan on May 25, 2024, 12:05 AM
I am putting my old P14 in the water again.  This configuration is a keel stepped mast.  The mast pole drops to a fitting in the cabin sole through a square hole in the cabin top.  The original foam spacer that centers the mast as it goes through the cabin top is all but gone.  Does anyone know of a replacement for this foam rubber fitting?

I have the same setup on my P14. I also do not have the insert. I have converted to a lateen rig so I don't use the mast anymore. If I wanted to put up the original mast I would use several wood shims to take the play out of the mast. That would work, but wouldn't keep the rain out.
