As we were dock walking ,we came across this "contraption " . My best guess was some type of dry docking .
What am I doing wrong ,in that the photo itself doesn't show up ?

same thing was happening to me. I was told you had to hit "insert". I did and then the pics show up twice. I guess twice is better than not at all..... ;)
Something with a counterweight for hauling boats?
It looks like it may have been at one time set up for counterweight lifting. But it's not over water and I zoomed and didn't see rails. If there were rails along the slip it might make more sense.
