Quote from: tbodine88 on Mar 27, 2024, 08:15 PMMy trailer tires are ST205/75D14 which are rated at 760 lbs. I figure each tire supports 1475 lbs. But I can not find a 14 inch tire that is rated to carry that weight. There are 15 and 16" tires that will, but as it is the truck is half drowned when I launch the boat, I am reticent to go up a size with out totally inundating the truck upon launchingThe Carlisle ST205/75R14 load range D tires on my camper are rated for 2040lbs at 65PSI (I have similar on my boat trailers). I just bought these at Discount Tire for $105 each.

Quote from: gary-s on Mar 27, 2024, 05:27 PM<snip>I've been thinking of getting one of those Gary, and I think you've just convinced me to. Do you have the Amazon link to the one you got? Since I can't get non-E gas out here, I'm thinking of just making a good carb cleaning a part of the regular maintenance schedule for my outboards.
I've cleaned several small engine carburetors so far with the ultrasonic unit and have had amazing success. Highly recommend it to anyone having problems with their outboard motor, lawn mower or any other small engine.
Once cleaned I ALWAYS use non-ethanol fuel. My Tohatsu 4 stroke was sitting in the basement not being used because of carb issues. I heard about the ultra sonic cleaner and found a repair shop that had one. this was the 4th attempt at getting the carb cleaned. It worked great. I haven't had an issue with the Tohatsu in the 3 years since. My cleaner came from amazon, about $120.00 shipped.
Hope to hang the outboard on the transom in April!
Quote from: tjspiel on Mar 26, 2024, 10:08 PMGreat! Of course, eventually the zipper and or slide will need to be replaced ...Quote from: Riggerdood on Mar 25, 2024, 10:52 AMTom, one trick to fix zippers that split after being zipped is to gently compress the slide at the bottom, or narrow end, with pliers. Seems to work especially well for coil zippers.
Hey, I think that worked !
