Has anybody talked to Charlie Jones lately?

Last timer that I called him, he was unable to figure out who I was.

We have met in person several times, he has stayed at my house once, and I took him to the Udvar Hazy Air and Space museum, so I am puzzled.

Any body else having better luck?

Happy birthday to all!  Charles, how old is Katelyn now? 

I just talked to Charlie.  He sounded hale and upbeat, but he's still got some health issues holding him down.  He's feeling better than he was, and is getting around a bit better with a walker.

It can be a little tough getting out the steps of a house like his A frame with a walker.  Unfortunately, I use one for much of my walking, and carefully avoid routes with stairs as much as possible.

The retirement community that I live in, our 2nd floor unit is even with the connected building's 1st floor, so walking through it, I am outside.  All buildings have elevators, so down one floor is also ground level.

There is another resident here that I just met, who has a Cape Dory 30 near Annapolis, and sails regularly in warm weather.  We plan to sail some this summer, with a friend of his, who has sailed with him for years.

Life is looking better here!
