If helpful - I know a lot about those VW Campers and have a few so happy to answer question.  Get in touch if you keep looking.  I'm vanis13 on this VW forum https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewforum.php?f=20

I towed my O'Day 192 home from where I bought it with an '85 Westfalia. It was fine on flat ground.......

I'm torn between wanting an early air-cooled one for the simplicity (and because I'm really familiar with the type IV engine from my Bay Window buses back in the day) or getting a late one with power steering and an automatic. I don't think I would tow anything heavier than my P-15 with it. I have a Volvo T5 wagon for towing the O'Day - it's rated for 3,300 lbs.
