Weird...

Left the house around 1130. Warm 83F. Headed to Thompson's West End Park in Washburn, WI. There was a reason why the air temp was 76F mid afternoon. Water temp dropped by a magnitude. Onshore breeze.Yesterday was almost bathwater warm. Today, almost painful cold. The churn from couple days of wind. Headed home mid afternoon. Truck thermometer kept rising. What was weird was the temp at the Sioux-Onion R. flats.  Lake level with a beach running ~1.5 miles between the two rivers. Sideshore breeze, but 91F. Live ~3/4 mile off the Lake ~350 feet above that area on a S facing ridge. 86F at the house. Usually cooler lakeside. Today, weird.

And once again. Upper level winds are cranking. Lake level forecasted 10-15kts ended up 4-8kts in the Bay. Looked less outside of the Bay. Midday readings from LaPoint and Ashland NWS monitors were not what was happening. Maybe someone turned a fan on...
