1994 Seward 23 - Electric Bilge Pump

Good Day,

Has anyone installed an electric bilge pump in a Seaward 23? 

If so, where is the best location to place the discharge hose? 

Also, where is the best location to install the pump itself?

My electric bilge pump is located under the v berth, as far towards the stern as you can, and centered side-to-side.  There is a hose that discharges through the sidewall of the hull.  I have never used it in 28 years....
