In  my previous CK 2K23 trip report, I more or less chose pics of boats that fit with my recollection of the day and the narrative.  I took BUNCHES of pics and there is a 50 pic limit on posts, so the original post had exactly 50 pics which coupled with my voluble narrative, exposed ANOTHER post limitation: 20,000 characters. 
I had 21,719. 
OK, let's do some tighter editing.  Ugh!! Thought I was done with all that short, concise, prose when I quit writing technical manuals! 
Tightened it down to 20,919 characters; still no good, so I split the post into two parts.

As I observed the boat and its dearth of the amenities that I take for granted aboard Urchin, it occurred to me that these guys have far more character than me.

According to the owner, this was practically a prototype, or at least, a very early hull number while Marine Concepts was still deciding how to lay out various things.

Interesting pattern/material around the cockpit.
Couldn't tell if it was Carbon Fiber, or Armadillo shell.

Can't understand why someone would go to this much trouble building a hull, then leave off the mast, sails and rudder.

Despite all the violence done to my boat (and me!) last weekend, I sure enjoyed myself more than I have, in quite a while.
