A comment on boat baking.
The rudder of the Black Watch split vertically along the aft end seam. With the boat in a slip I didn't notice it for quite a while. When I saw it and pulled the rudder the sore was soaked. I opened up the crack and let it drain for a good while. Then I took it to the local body shop and asked if they would just put it off to the side of the baking oven for a few weeks. It was not summer so nature couldn't do what the oven could do.

It seemed to work okay and closing up and strengthening the seam went well. With the usual sanding exercises.

Well, I'm done for the time being. It is NEVER finished. I think Charles Brennan finished his boat once until he found a leak on the CB pin or something  :)
