Hey mates :
Had a bit of bad luck skiing Switzerland, broke my tibia just below the knee. Two surgeries later I am fixed with plates and screws. Will not get to sail for a long while. Hopefully by late summer when I can start to put full weight and movement. I'll stop by the forum and happy hour when I can.

All the best

Hated to click the "like" button, but wanted you to know I saw and read your post. So sorry! Here's to a quick recuperation and to better days ahead.

Oh man, that stinks Brian! Well, hope you had fun in Switzerland up to that point anyway. If it's any consolation, I once had the same exact injury, but from playing volleyball of all things. And yes, even in my 20's it was a long recovery.

Glen sent me the picture from the hospital room.  Waited until you posted here to give my sympathy.

I will personally miss the possibility of sailing with you this summer if I get to LI.

Best wish's for a full recovery.

Really sorry to hear, Brian!!! We sure want to keep up with you on HHs, hopefully? You may remember that I had knee replacement surgery December a year ago, and that led to a late start for me last season too. I had a slow recovery, but I'd call it 100+% right now, and I think this season I'm going to be really happy with it.

Broke mine in the middle back in 2022. Ended up with a nail after 6 months of casts. Hoping you have a speedy recovery.
