So who's going?
Also:
The guest dock at Coyote Point will not be available for this sail, but the Harbormaster will be able to find spots in the marina. If you need a slip overnight for Friday, Saturday, or both, please post that here or contact Mark directly so that he can make arrangements.

Dear Potters, just this note to Coyote Point Yacht Club Personnel. And will post here decision on go/no go for the boats in water on Saturday. I am not keen on bad weather, and swells seemed massive when I last looked. That long fetch can produce some big rollers! But fun going down wind! Mark Sabin
Dear Matt and Sandy;
  The Potter Yachters have scheduled a weekend sail for this coming weekend, using your Marina/Club as a base for our sailing day trips, both Saturday and Sunday.
  BUT the weather is not cooperating.   So unsure if any boats will be put in the water on Saturday, and spending that Saturday night in a slip.
Our potential fleet is 3 boats, I think. (Many members are off traveling the world- traditional travel.)
  I will decide Tuesday afternoon, and announce to you and others

(part go cutoff)

Several have bought Sat.Dinner tickets. I will be going to the dinner no matter what. I believe Jim Hunt is too. Unsure if George is.  mark

Wednesday. Been watching weather get a bit better, but low winds, cold and overcast make me want to cancel. Decided this morning. Consulted a bit, Decided.
To. Cancel.
  Just checked email and saw that Dan Mone/ Potter 19 was up for it. I called and we talked. He sounds like a great addition to the group and sailing in general. He's got sailing plans and is even doing the Salish 100 this year.
  I should see him at the Delta sail in a few weeks.
I still plan to arrive at the St. Pats dinner.

Mark, Cancelling is the right call. The Coyote Pt. venue has no sheltered water. When you leave the marina you have to deal with whatever the Bay is dishing up. Richmond, Redwood City, and the Estuary all have several miles of protected water and an event can proceed in a limited way under less than ideal conditions but for Coyote Pt. the weather really needs to cooperate. Have fun at the dinner!
