Well, looks like I am a year or 2 late on looking at this. I am active with the Potter Yachters, and they accept me in my Suncat.
Some of the freshwater lakes are closing due to that new invasive clam/snail, but if you've a cat boat maybe we could meetup for a sail someplace in California.
