Tiller dimensions?

Because of my recent adventures I need a new tiller for my 1985 WWP 19 and Ruddercraft seems to be the best source. They have one to specifically match OEM supposedly, but mine isn't quite the same size.

The website says the butt end dimensions are 1 3/4" tall and 1 1/2" wide. Mine is 1 3/4" tall x 1 1/4" wide. That's also the width of the rudder.

It looks like maybe the bracket is a little bit wider at the screws so I'm wondering if it might have shrunk a bit in 40 years or if my model year was maybe a little less robust than others.

Does anyone know if there were different width tillers/rudders or especially if the run that included 1985 was different?
