I seem to remember a two-stroke blender that night. Oh, and Painkillers. At the moment that picture was taken there were a lot of people there (out of frame) and it was coming a lightning storm right over there across the bay behind me. Everyone studiously ignore the lightning and it must have worked!

Yeah, cranking that blender made every head in the cove look our direction. The Tailgator. Sadly, no longer being produced.

Yeah, it was a sure thing there were icy drinks when you'd hear it! I was remembering that trip and Sonya ALMOST made a turn and knocked me off the boat just as we arrived on the beach. With the peanut gallery standing by! I had stood up....which opens you up to that big boom, and she wanted to turn to Starboard and it would have put me in the water right in front of everyone! I know that I am captain, because she obeyed to the NO!!!! Sometimes the helmsman can make a mistake, but I always wonder if that one was intentional  :o  You gotta WATCH that woman; she'll catch you napping. It would have been hilarious though. And the water WAS inviting!

My memories of B.E.E.R are fading I'm afraid. Well to be fair my memories of what I had for breakfast today are pretty weak. I went two years, 2010 and 2011 I think. Used to tow the boat down to Mexico Beach for a week and then tow over to Pensacola for BEER. Then scheduling for BEER changed and the gap meant two trips with long drives, so I passed after that.

I do remember the storms, 2010 in particular.  We were anchored in the sound at the halfway point, a state park I think, don't know what it was called.  A fairly ferocious storm came in, so bad my BIL in Biloxi called me warning me about what was heading my way.  I told him I'm in the middle of it hunkered down in the cabin.  I did become a believer in CQR anchors that day, many dragged, I did not.

Don't remember the Tailgator blender.  Maybe not there those years.  All I could think about was another small displacement motor with a tiny carb to keep running. Not for me.

This pic is from 2011 I think.  Anchored at the sailboat cove area, drinking a cup of coffee, watching the Blue Angels practice. Sheri (much better half) was with me that year must have been in the cabin at the time pic was taken.  Riley, I think your boat more appropriate for that cruise in that it can be beached.

Oh, I dunno about that! Accommodations sure are nice!

I can't find the ones of the topless lady I pulled in next to on one of those cruises. I just couldn't understand why NOBODY came to check my camp out!  ;D  No, actually I didn't act so crass as to take pics that time but it did happen.

Reminds me of the time I was in Galveston for a bike rally. Connie and a friend of ours and I were walking down Market Street and I mentioned that there was a lady getting her breasts painted. About an hour and a half later, Connie tells us to get beside this bike as she wanted a picture of the bike and us and the girl. After she took the picture, I turned to the lady to say "Nice Bike" and finally noticed the bikini top was just paint.  :o  Luckily, the shock kept me from sleeping on the couch that night.  :-X

I remember some real "desperados" cruising through the anchorage, maybe 06, with sombreros, jock straps, and smiles.  I'm sure Wayne remembers them! I'm still not sure if we've done 5, 6, or 7 BEER Cruises, and that tells you just how much fun we had!

Ed, It was 2007.  With the help of a 2-stroke blender, most anything is possible!  :P

And to all the REST of the TSBBers who never went to one and doubt the veracity of some of the tales:
HAH!!  ;D

Another memorable year of many, that I cherish.
