Afternoon . I am trying to set up this Bimini frame so I can have a replacement cover made . I " believe " I have it configured correctly . I am stumped as to how the straps that clip to the transom don't slide down .
I reversed the framework and then the straps
Slid forward and the framework fell backwards . Thanks You cannot view this attachment.

Timm, Have you NOT, read ANY of my SCAMP posts?!?!  :P
Right off the bat, your frame is backwards.

The main frame that all the rest of the frames attach to, is the rear frame.

Like so:

L'est you think that this is only my opinion, take a look at some commercial Bimini tops.

All the frames, attach to the rear frame.

To set up a Bimini top frame, start with the rear frame bow and get the height right.

Attach the intermediate frame bow and use a nylon webbing strap to get the distance and spacing right.

Make certain that the middle frame folds back even with the rear frame; you may have to adjust the middle pivot frame up or down, on the rear frame.

Attach the forward frame bow to the rear frame bow and add a 2nd web strap, to get its spacing right.

Check for level and equidistant spacing with a long batten, or 1X2, etc.

You've got the right idea, just reverse your frame and get a couple of web straps, or failing that, just tie some lengths of line between frames, to get the frame spacing right.
It's not Rocket Science; I offer as proof, the fact that I got one going!  :P

Hope this helps,

Thanks for letting me know I had it backwards . At least it wasn't on upside-down.
In my life , that is a very real possibility.
Once reversed, it all made sense. Thanks

The straps are held in place higher up by slots in the bimini tops canvas, in the tube that goes over the frame.

Thanks Chris . I sent the bikini pattern off to a phenomenal canvas guy in Florida .
With any luck,  I will have it back by launch time
