Thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday! We had an eventful day on Stolen moments. The air was much better and we actually
departed on our trip! It was still hazy, but breathing was good. We were heading East to Black River Harbor, which is a very rustic National Forest Marina. Not much wind, so we motor-sailed the whole 34 miles and pulled in at 6:00 PM. We were the only boat there and we had a real fine pork chop dinner out in the cockpit.
We slept well,  but woke up to really bad air quality again. We decided to skip the hiking trail that went through old growth forest by 5 waterfalls.  Now we are sailing to Ontanogan. The air is better out in the lake and we are wearing n95 masks. We are thinking of dinner in an air conditioned restaurant tonight. We are about 10 miles out.
