Excellent newsletter once again! And I have been meaning to thank you for the article on Golden Mussels last month. Very informative and well researched. Probably the first ever Potter Yachter article with a bibliography!
I'm especially interested in the topic since we just moved to Fair Oaks, CA which is 7 miles from Folsom Lake, to find the lake quarantined.
It is possible to sail there after they have cabled your boat to the trailer for a month so that you can't launch it anywhere else. After you retrieve, they re-cable it and you can launch at Folsom anytime, as long as you sail nowhere else. Tough deal if one wants to do other events on the Potter calendar.
