Bill, (I crew on his Flying Scot in club races) and I joined the cruisers for a raft up and overnight stay on the lake this past weekend. Rusty had recently sold his Blue Heron to Bill, and that Friday Bill had all the paperwork done and the boat was his. Rusty offered it to me, but I had to turn it done since I knew owning a 5th sailboat would have Carol potentially ask a lawyer if I could be committed on grounds of insanity.

The lack of wind had use motoring to the cove to join the big boats. It was fun and the food on board the boats was plentiful. After an evening of socializing and onboard karaoke. I am only ever asked to sing at closing time to make sure everyone leaves. The raft up separated to anchor for the night.

The next day we mostly motored back but did manage to sail in some patchy light wind. It was the first time Bill sailed his new to him sailboat. He was all smiles.

Great! Who had more fun? You or the 30 footers? My guess a good time was had by all.

Hanging with buds is fun isn't it? Looks like a very nice time! As one mostly musically challenged (well, I CAN whistle), I sure enjoy those times when others donate their talents. Don't look at me though. Bullfrogs, buckets, and mechanical noise is all you'll find 😂
