December was a busy, busy month. Settling down a bit.

Didn't get much to speak of in the way of gifts. Wife and I decided to buy ourselves a mattress. Based on our history, should be the last one we'll need. (eeegads!)

I did get one item sailing related.

Those are great!  Wife and stopped buying gifts for each other many years ago. We agree on something for both of us and buy it. This year we decided we didn't need anything. I still bought her satin pajamas. Winter and summer editions, plus some perfume. She was a bit mad, but a guy should be able to spoil his gal after 46 years of marriage.

Yep. We're closing in on 47 come February. I tell her there's no way I could ever get her a gift worth what she's worth to me. But I try.

I call those grandpa socks! ;D
Rember how excited you were as a kid when the season came around.

Tami and I bought each other a Honda Generator. Needed mainly because her father, who lives with us, depends on ac for his oxegon machine. It will run the fridge, the computers, and some lighting as well. Now our power will never go out again.

We also enjoy stuffing each other's stockings. Coming up with small, yet meaningful, gifts is good sport in my book.

She also likes to buy me clothes, maybe because I don't dress myself in the style that a man on her arm should.

Bobbie doidn't realize she was picking out her christmas present when we took her wedding ring to have a missing stone replaced . I casually asked her if she liked anything in the display cases .
I think I got more husband points for listening and remembering as I did actually getting the earrings .
 What did I get ?
Some long overdue hearing aids .... smh..

She might have "helped" you wanting to have the new hearing aids to help prevent your possible selective hearing.

What was that you said Norm? ;D

Yes, Dale it was very busy in Dec. And then we had visitors for New Years Eve and a party I didn't know anything about. The former mayor was there and a bevy of in-laws and outlaws. I talked it over with my wife and she wanted to go out for dinner for her Christmas present, so we had a really nice steak. It was so big we ate it for three meals! I got the usual socks and underwear  ;D
