I once rescued a woman that had fallen off a passing yacht. I didn't figure that out for a little while, though, and whoever it was on the yacht, well they didn't even notice in time to know where it was they were when she went over.

Apparently she struck her head coming off the boat. Either that, or maybe it was the trauma of being left behind like that and it scared her something fierce, enough that whatever it was that had happened, as a result she had temporary amnesia.

She was real cute, and I could tell that she'd led a pampered life. But it was nice having her around, and I could use the help, so I told her that she'd always been with me.

I think she suspected different. I had to teach her to do a lot of the things she'd "forgotten" how to do.

Eventually, though, a bond formed, and we began to get along really well. She even kinda came around to liking to live in the rather rough style to which I was accustomed, as opposed to whatever she'd done before.

Then, one day, she found out.

But that's a part of the story I don't have time to go into right now.
