I am trying to find that spring tension bow hold down you have, particularly that quick release clasp. However, I've run out of search terms to use. Everything ends up leading me to the same sort of nylon strap scheme. Since I live in the desert, I prefer not to use straps whenever they can be avoided. Any information would be appreciated.

I would not know what to call it either.
I am starting to wonder if it isn't repurposed from one or two other applications, like perhaps a screen door and a machinery panel closure (?). It did save the day last time I trailered the boat so I have to give it credit. What I am seeing readily online these days are straps, cables, and chains- similar to the safety chains from trailer to tow vehicle. Some of the gear for tensioning  gymnastics apparatus looks similar too.

The bow roller worked well on its first trial run.

We had a nice evening sail with the sun setting, moon rising, and a jet boat being towed to shore by our sailboat as the night closed in on the landing.

Having my son as crew made it a very relaxing trip with his enthusiasm to help rig and de-rig the boat.

We still need goalposts or a keel guide system to better center the rest of the boat.

Yes, my little boat is small and it loads pretty easily, although it is small enough that if I don't get it on the rear roller ( which is hard to do w/o guides or another person), I just pick it up and move it over  ;D
