Winter is coming for a couple of days. Yeah, yeah I KNOW that it lasts for months in some places. Why do you think I live on the Gulf Coast? Conversely I don't see you visiting me in August. And if you do, you need your head examined  ;D  Yesterday was very fine...I ran around with shorts and no shirt for a while. The locals were sailing in the bay off Pascagoula and it was primo. Anyone that lives here knows that if it turns really nice and warm this time of the year, it's a signal that the cold is on its way. I'm glad the holiday season is sliding right on by. Get it out of the way and I might have a chance to do some water stuff. I don't do much celebrating of a numbers reset. And I don't do resolutions. If you do, have a great time!

Yeah, yesterday here in central Texas was shorts and t-shirt weather. Today, the temperature has dropped 30 degrees down to 40F. And that's the high for today.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing.

36mph south winds have us enjoying the mid 70s, but threatening skies. Tomorrow will be 30 degrees cooler and not as strong winds but sunny.

Big dreams, small boats...

30 degrees drop here too.

On FB I noticed someone posting pics of a marina in Sandusky, I believe, where the wind had driven enough water out to leave the sailboats sitting on their keels. Interesting phenomenon.

25F here this morning. I am planning on using my Tenkara rod to fish for mountain trout tomorrow and possibly sailing at the club Thursday. Friday I should be back fishing for trout again. Although the best laid plans I find have been frequently interrupted lately. I like this time of year except for the short days and sometimes dreary weather.

It only managed 35F last night but the wind was right off the North Pole at 25 kts. I'm sure there is no water in the local bayous and bays either. I do like the cool weather though, and would give parts of my anatomy for some of it about July-August  :o  The bass in the local reservoir like to bite in one of these cold snaps, so I'll give them a try later this evening if I don't get wound up in some kind of drama with someone. Blindsided so to speak, but with drama there is almost never any forewarning. There are some serious fish in there but access is very limited. I've made the opening salvo with the mulcher in the war on the falling leaves too, and it only gets worse from here on out. Yes, the short days mess me all up. I got do-nothing-itis and don't feel the least big guilty about it.
