Hello all,

Its been awhile since I posted, finally thawing out hear in central Indiana after the record 12 1/2 inch snow fall two weeks ago. I know, you east coasters wish thats all you had. I always launch the first week of April, but one heck of a lot of ice this year. Need warm rain.

I need to put new tell tales on my P21 main. It is a Roly Tasker with 4 battens. I have a nice piece of spinnaker material to cut from, but my issue is attaching the new ones. I do not have sail repair tape. My thought is to tape the  tell tales end to the batten with household tape and let it exit the batten slot. Not sure if that is a smooth enough exit to get a good air flow.

My question to all, suggestions on how to do this with what I can obtain from the local big box store if needed.
Local West Marine closed a couple yrs ago. Also suggested width and length to cut the tell tales.

Thanks in advance, as always you won't fail to share good ideas.

I believe my OEM Rolly Tasker main has the telltales attached with a sticky pad on the leach. Just checked WM on line and they are available as a set for a reasonable price. Not sure about shipping cost, I replaced my jib telltales with something similar a few years ago and they have worked well. I purchased the "ribbon" type not the yarn.

Thanks Brian. I think attaching with a pad on the opposite side of the batten pocket would get a better, direct flow of air.
