The tide range increases during a full moon if you already didn't know. I'm sure the full moon will be beautiful in the cold air tonight. All that means the LOW TIDE is even lower, and on top of that, there is a 30 kt wind blowing out of the north. THe wind rules the tide here anyway. It looks like the ocean LEFT !!! And since we're at a high of 36F, Not a day to be on the water, that's for sure. If you can FIND any.

I've seen pics of Santa Rosa Sound/Pensacola Bay with very low water levels.

I was up Fly Creek on the east side of Mobile Bay when a norther blew in. Some boats across the creek had their masts touching each other as they leaned during the low low tide.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing.

It has been extremely low. As in impassible in many of the normal waterways for small craft. I don't know about anywhere else, but here, the high tide is mostly at night during the winter. Early mornings-midday during the summer for the most part. Some places get two a day tides but we only get one, and the max range is about 2.5 feet. If there has been an east wind, that brings in an additional 1.5 ft of water for some strange reason, so now you're looking at a rise of 4' instead of 2.5. That makes a BIG difference, where any detectable rise in elevation is called "a hill". That flatness is good for gas mileage for your car though!
